Kawasaki introduced an all-new KX250 motocross bike and KX250X cross-country model for 2025, featuring a redesigned engine, revised electronics, and a chassis derived from the KX450.

Imagine just five years ago, if I showed you a picture of a red Grand Prix motorcycle and a red motocross bike, and told you one was a Ducati and the other was a GasGas, you probably wouldn’t even bat an eye. But if I told you the MotoGP bike was the GasGas, and the Ducati was the dirt bike, you probably would have thought I was nuts.

After slowly dripping us information over the last few months and previewing the bike at the SuperMotocross World Championship finale in Los Angeles, Triumph has released full details about its new motocross bike, including its name: the TF 250-X. A TF 450-X model will follow next year, along with a range of Enduro models.

Honda’s electric dirt bike prototype made its racing debut this weekend in Round 8 of the All Japan Motocross Championship in Saitama, competing against 450cc gas-powered motorcycles in the IA1 class.
