Motorcycle.com Best of 2024

Welcome to December, which means that ordinarily, this is where one of us blathers on about how the last 11+ months have flown by too quickly. But this year was a little special, as MO is celebrating its 30th anniversary. That’s pretty crazy, when you think about it. Yours truly is currently the longest-tenured member of the staff, and I’ve only been around for slightly more than half of that. Three decades for any online publication is something worth celebrating.

So hurrah for Motorcycle.com, our loyal readers both old and new, and the ragtag bunch of MOrons that have staffed this site from Day One to now.

And since we’re in the celebratory mood, let’s not forget that December also means it’s time for us to look back at the year that was and award our 2024 Motorcycle.com Best Of (MOBO) awards. The MO team went over our notes from the year and picked out what is deserving of MOBO honors for ten categories:

We’ll kick things off on Dec. 9 with the Best Lightweight/Entry-Level Motorcycle of 2024, and continue to announce our other winners every Monday, Wednesday and Friday over the next few weeks, culminating with our 2024 Motorcycle of the Year announcement on Dec. 30.

Before we get to it, let’s remember the ground rules: to be eligible for MOBO consideration, MO must have tested the bike during the model year, and it has to be available for sale at the time of publication. While that means some new motorcycles we really liked didn’t make the cut because they aren’t for sale yet, it also means those that missed out last year are now eligible.

Now, without further ado, let the 2024 MOBOs begin!
